(This was triggered by a comment from someone else in one of the LinkedIn Groups that I'm a member of and I'm thinking of positing it on LinkedIn - hence it's in English)

In theory, LinkedIn Groups sound like a good idea; a no-brainer even. You have all these experts from a given field. Let them open discussion groups where they can discuss new developments in their field and share their knowledge. I don't know about you, but this is not what I see happening in the LinkedIn Groups that I am a member of.

Mit Sketchnoting hatte ich vor gut einem halben Jahr schon einmal experimentiert. Motiviert hatte mich der Frust, dass meine Notizen von Vorträgen meist nicht nur nicht hilfreich sondern vor allem auch weitgehend unlesbar sind. Sketchnoting ist nun nicht einfach, den Vortrag in Bildchen umzusetzen, sondern, die für einen selbst wichtigsten Punkte aus dem Vortrag zu extrahieren und diese dann in einer sinnvollen Art und Weise sowie mit Struktur zu Papier zu bringen. Das kann den Einsatz von Zeichnungen bedeuten (getreu dem alten Spruch, wonach ein Bild mehr sagt als 1000 Worte), aber man kann Sketchnoting auch rein textuell betreiben.

Das Prinzip hatte ich also verstanden, nur leider haperte es an der Umsetzung. Ich kam recht schnell an die Grenzen meiner Zeichen-Fähigkeiten und fiel dann doch zu oft wieder ins reine Mitschreiben zurück.

The Clip 2 firmware is up to version 1.3.6 now and the battery life has improved to the point where you no longer have to constantly worry about running out of juice. I got a full 12-hour day with continuous use (at the standard 30 second interval) out of it recently and ended up with 4% battery left when I came home.

Parallel zum Internationalen Trickfilm Festival (ITF) finden in Stuttgart auch noch Veranstaltungen aus verwandten Bereichen statt. Eine davon hört auf den Namen Spotlight und bezeichnet sich als "Festival der Bewegtbildkommunikation". Auf Deutsch: Der Werbefilm-Branche.

Irgendwie klingt das ja vertraut: Kurze Talks mit einem festen Zeitlimit - da gibt es doch schon viele ähnliche Formate. Ignite etwa oder Pecha Kucha (welches in Stuttgart leider eingeschlafen ist) oder auch TED bzw. TEDx. Aber 12min.me hat tatsächlich nochmal einen etwas anderen Ansatz.
